A Prayer Technique for Life's Challenges

Oct. 25, 2012

I recently have discovered a new twist on an ancient tool--namely, prayer. Specifically, the "most benevolent outcome" prayer process.

It's based on the work of author, Tom T. Moore, whose book, "The Gentle Way" is listed here to the right of this page. (If you do go to Amazon and buy it, or any of the other books listed, a tiny percentage of the sales come to me.)

This is a pretty non-denominational prayer technique, though it helps if you believe that unseen forces can have an effect on your life. You don't have to be a Christian or believe in angels. This prayer process still can reap results.

Some have written that Tom's technique, "worked PERFECTLY, and I had never been able to say that about any of the other modalities I had tried."

Tom T. Moore says that we all have what he calls a benevolent, invisible friend, near us. Many people refer to this as a guardian angel. This entity, whatever you want to call it, has our highest good and wellbeing at heart. But it is not allowed to directly intervene unless we ask it to. By requesting so-called Benevolent Outcomes, we are doing just that, asking for the help of this Being of Light.

Asking for Help for Yourself, Say aloud:

  • "I request the most benevolent outcome for a (situation, thing) you need help with. Thank you."
  • "I request a most benevolent outcome for receiving clear guidance to help me heal or to find the   best healing path for me. Thank you.
  • "I request a most benevolent outcome for finding the right treatment to heal me from ______in the best possible way. Thank you."
  • "I request the most benevolent outcome for overcoming this pain."
  • "I ask any and all Beings of Light to assist the doctors and nurses in the procedure (name it) that I am undergoing. Thank you."

Asking for Help for Others:

  • "I ask any and all Beings of Light to assist the doctors and nurses in the procedure (name it) that (name of person) is undergoing. Thank you."
  • "I ask any and all Beings of Light that whatever is causing (name of person's) symptoms will dissipate and be gone for good, if it is for her or his highest good. Thank you."
  • "I ask any and all Beings of Light to bring aid and comfort to (person). Thank you."

What if Your Requests Aren't Granted?

According to Dr. Michael Newton (his book, featured in the Amazon box to the right, "Journey of Souls" details actual interviews with those who have been led back to their pre-incarnation state), each human being lays out a life plan or soul contract before being born. This plan is meant to provide us with certain learning and experiences while on earth. (We have free will, of course, and frequently veer off track from our soul's plan.) But the difficult challenge we'd like to leave behind may be one our soul has chosen before we incarnated. In this case, the requests may not bring about a total healing or resolution. BUT, at the very least, making these requests can help lessen the severity of the lessons our souls have chosen and let us walk along a smoother path than we otherwise would.
Finally, don't forget, as with any prayer request, you may believe that a certain outcome is the best for you, while in a deeper, soul-level sense, it may not be. Looked at from a larger perspective, it just may be that we don't know what is for our best and highest good.

When it seems that our prayers aren't being answered, trust that they will lead to an eventual understanding and peace, even if those positive benefits appear to allude you initially.
